Pick your battles. I simply enjoy the job and the flying. Sorry you don't.

I'd call it a helluva lot better than the USAF lifestyle and working in an office.
Brutal? Schedules brutal? That comes across as whiney at best. No longer people resent pilots. Night flying domestic schedules can be tough, but I'd never call them brutal.

Are you guys/gals twins ?

To Stay or Go ... and ... L'il J.Seinfeld

Do you have any other profiles ?

Our bid packages consist of regular lines, reserve lines, plus a certain number of VTO lines. The VTO line is basically blank when initially awarded. When the company builds the VTO lines from the open time, the VTO line holders bid again.

VTO line quality can be very good in the summer (when very senior pilots are dropping cherry pairings for vacation conflicts).

For the international domiciles, a VTO line will usually contain the long (12-13 day) trips that scheduling has difficulty covering with normal reserves. If the company can't fill a VTO line with flying, then they backfill it with the 24 hour call-ahead reserve.

Nope, sorry Sherlock. Just stating the employer may have issues but the job is good.

UPS job ain't that bad. I guess I'm one of the oddballs that can't wait to get back on property. Go back to the job market and see what kind of crap is really out there.

I hope you and the others get back soon. Never forget what kind of people you work for, you have the rest of your career to pay them back. NO FAVORS, EVER!
