FedEx seniority numbers

...but still 39 MEM DC-10 pilots on the list.
All (except one) appear to be out sick, NOQ or are calendar blockers.
Am assuming these guys all have a long term disability situations and can ride that out even beyond age 65, as long as we have SO seats on the property.
I'm thinking you will see a larger than normal/expected movement in the overall seniority list once the 727 is fully retired in 2014 or 2015.

Actually if someone went out on LTD after they had turned 60, they would be entitled, per the contract, to continue on the payroll until they either came back to work, or 5 years from the date they went on LTD. For someone who went out before their 60th birthday, they could either return to work, or they would have to retire on their 65th birthday. At least that's how I understand the LTD stuff.

This is the first thing we should give up (for negotiating capital) in the next CBA. Seriously, give someone 5 yrs pay when he goes LTD at age 59. I don't care if it's me - not worth ANY bargaining capital and it does cost us something.
