"ABX nazis" ???? **** We (ABX crews) could care less what ATI/Capppy does with "your" airplanes....I have not heard one single reference from ABX crews saying ATI/Cappy are flying "our" airplanes! I think we are mature enough to realize if ATI/Cappy are going to survive and not drain ATSG of every dollar of profit (my retirement) they will need to refleet. Any aircraft ATI is flying that was on ABX certificate was traded one for one for an aircraft on ATI's certificate...no loss. Please do not add more drama into this mess...it is dicked up enough already!
And as for your retirement, CCIA was suppose to get those atlas 76's, but the ABX MEC would not have that. Instead of working with CCIA MEC, getting pay up, getting ABX, CCIA, and ATI furloughed back to work the ABX MEC blocked it and off the planes go to a competitive carrier with far more capabilities than any of us. Great for retirement and ATSG stock.
Nothing to see here folks, move along

Yes I've had three idiots come up to me at three different times and tell me, I don't belong in CVG, I want to see my ABX brothers in flying your planes and those are gonna be our planes in the end.

"CCIA was suppose to get those atlas 76"s" I say bull****! The Atlas airplanes were never going to CCIA or the lowest bidder... ABX...and yes we have something in our contract called SCOPE you should try it. The Scope langauge prevented the DHL aircraft not the MEC from going to any other "sister" carrier under ATSG control. So CCIA was never an option. Without scope all 76's would be going to the lowball carriers ATSG operates with pilots willing to work for 711 pay scales. Atlas was going to get the aircraft either way so ATSG was not in control of all the DHL 76-200s. ABX already flies 4 DHL 200s plus 1 300 leased. DHL likes to spread the aircraft around to multiple carriers. DO some DD before you make up some emotion driven BS

I'm just a spectator now but I can confirm that some 767s were going to CCIA somehow.

I have to agree with nitefr8dog overall...even though I am an ATI/ABX'er. Scope is a significant part of any contract providing job protections, especially in the day whereby your parent company operates several carriers. Of the 3 ATSG certificates, ABX is the only one with significant scope provisions and even those aren't enough to have the comfortable security one would like to see in their job.
ABX scope requires B767-200s that are flown in the DHL system Domestically (note...domestic only) be operated by ABX (among the ATSG companies). Its not taking any jobs or provisions away from ATI nor CCI as ABX had been doing these operations for a long time and much of it was Airborne Express to begin with. There is nothing the Exec Board (i.e. MEC) can do to prevent ATSG from assigning a/c to any of the companies. So if ATSG wants to place a/c on ATI's certificate, or CCI's, so be it. They just can't operate the -200 on domestic DHL flights. There is a lot of other flying out there...ATI is an example of that. If planes were pulled from CCI's future plan, then it was for other reasons; many of which you can speculate but not confirm.
Nor can the union, any union, tell DHL where to place their services. DHL could have put additional a/c with ABX, but decided to go with ATLAS...so be it; life goes on. If you think the union(s) can control those issues.....well, you have a lot to learn about unions then!

Yes...when ATSG purchased Cam there were 5 200's included to go to ATI. 3 did...2 were swapped to ABX and 2 ABX airframes went to ATI also for a total of 5. AT that time the 5 DHL airframes now being flown by ATLAS were sitting in the weeds at KILN with no plans to ever convert them. Believe whatever BS you want but Cappy was never going to get those airframes.

At your payscales CCIA is the competitor!....Again ABX MEC knows the CREWS not the MEC would not have allowed CCIA flying 200's domestic for DHL. Not much point in scope if you ask your union to ignore it when it becomes needed.
