Their plan is to send 364CM and 365CM to ATI/CCIA then start transferring 767-200s from ABX to ATI. Don't be mad at me. Just saying what I heard. As the DHL/ABX contract expires, they will probably shrink ABX to oblivion while growing on the other side.
Don't expect SJ and the gang to raise a finger to stop it either. They got theirs and they just want to cruise on to their golden years. They don't care about what happens to the guys that won't be around after they're gone.
ATI-ALPA sent a clear message to ATSG management. ABX-APA1224 also sent a clear message to ATSG management. ATSG management is getting ready to send a message back.

Interesting theory....except ATSG cannot "transfer" ABX aircraft to ATI due to ABX scope. The only aircraft that have been "transferred" have been done in a swap situation with 1224 approval. Also ABX contact limits who will fly (ABX/ATI/CAPPI) DHL freight domestic in 767 aircraft.
Good luck holding onto that scope if ABX is merged into ATI with ATI the surviving carrier.
From what I've read on this forum, doesn't that 767 clause only cover 767-200s? What if ATSG only purchases -300s from now on?

Not going to happen....1st ABX is the only foreign carrier in the world approved to operate intra-asia. Approval came on a 1 time basis and took years. 2nd DHL requested ABX and loves our performance numbers and hates ATI.... 3rd and probably the most significant...Joe built ABX.... it is his baby and he has no love affair with ATI/Cappi...(not the pilots mind you, he hates all pilots)
All those FedEx and UPS aircraft I see flying intra-Asia must be figments of my imagination.
I bet he loves the ATI/Cappi contract more than he loves ABX.

As far as that intra-Asian letter or whatever, how many years has ABX had that capability? How has that and you Asian side letter worked out for you guys? Are you sure it's really that big of a deal?
As for your scope, what do you think happens to your scope and your work rules once your union ceases to exist?
what is SJ and pals focusing on now?

Re: Acft At ILN
I thought there were still some left in ILN.
There is a contract in the works that will increase ATI's fleet by five more aircraft. That would bring the total up to 10 767s (-200/-300) as well as the 727/757s from Cappy. Then take into account the three -73s still in operation as well as the DC8 combis (first 757 is "suppose" to come online any time now).
That is going to be more like 25ish compared to only "4" that you said. Even without counting the merger with Cappy, ATI had 12 active airplanes when I left in April.
ATI does have a great set of OP SPECs tied to their certificate to.
BTW..... 363, 364, and 365 were ferried to the states by ATI (guess it really doesn't matter in the long run). The new contract calls for at least two more -300s and 364/365 are the only ones not tied to either carrier at this moment.

Try this. Go ask SJ what he's doing to proactively prepare for the possibility of a merger. I bet he's too busy fighting over fired captains that can't go to an alternate without an FMC.
Now go ask JV what he's doing to proactively change DHL's perception of ATI.
