I doubt CAM (ATSG) will buy anymore 767-200's unless there is a specific customer request and signed contract. JMHO

I tend to agree but there is something in the works and IIRC, there are still quite a few old ABX planes still sitting in ILN (e.g. where Atlas got their 5).

Their plan is to send 364CM and 365CM to ATI/CCIA then start transferring 767-200s from ABX to ATI. Don't be mad at me. Just saying what I heard. As the DHL/ABX contract expires, they will probably shrink ABX to oblivion while growing on the other side.

Don't expect SJ and the gang to raise a finger to stop it either. They got theirs and they just want to cruise on to their golden years. They don't care about what happens to the guys that won't be around after they're gone.

ATI-ALPA sent a clear message to ATSG management. ABX-APA1224 also sent a clear message to ATSG management. ATSG management is getting ready to send a message back.

I dont think there are too many in ILN, the five that atlas got had been there for five years, and they scraped everything else sitting on the ramp. I think all of the 200's are being used, anything in ILN is probably in Mx.

The ATI/CCIA merger will be a done deal in a couple weeks. Guess what's next? ATI/ABX with ATI the surviving carrier.

This.

I'm an ABXer and this is what I see coming. It only makes sense and if I were a shareholder, I would be screaming from the rooftops for it. Absolutely no need to have the overhead of two or three airlines.

ATI will be the surviving certificate due to the passenger op-specs.

Hum.... that is a very interesting point. When does the ABX/DHL contract expire?

I might've missed one or two, but thats what I found. Anyone know of others??

316 & 319 are operating with ATI. ABX has, I believe, one or two floating around. What is happening with the other three listed?
ABX added 5 300's so far this year with 3 more to go. Added where 220CY, 317CM, 362CM. 363CM, 364CM.

Interesting theory....except ATSG cannot "transfer" ABX aircraft to ATI due to ABX scope. The only aircraft that have been "transferred" have been done in a swap situation with 1224 approval. Also ABX contact limits who will fly (ABX/ATI/CAPPI) DHL freight domestic in 767 aircraft.

Not going to happen....1st ABX is the only foreign carrier in the world approved to operate intra-asia. Approval came on a 1 time basis and took years. 2nd DHL requested ABX and loves our performance numbers and hates ATI.... 3rd and probably the most significant...Joe built ABX.... it is his baby and he has no love affair with ATI/Cappi...(not the pilots mind you, he hates all pilots)
