Does anyone else have advice on the civilian path?[/quote]
I would check out the "ALL ATPS" company. Friend of mine went from having a private license to 400hrs multi doing MEI instruction in about 1yr. and had a job at COEX soon there after. Basically went from 0hrs. to starting class with a major airline in 6 years. The key to ALL ATPs is the speed you get the multi-engine time to get on at a regional. And the quickest upgrade there sets you up for major airline(1000hrs PIC 121) qualifications quick. Good luck.

Good luck first off!! I did the same thing your currently doing...got a flight degree and am now flying freight. It is a good alternate to the regionals, you will make more money going that route over the regionals. At least where im at, cant say for other freight operators. Still to be seen if this is the quickest route for that all precious PIC turbine time but all paths are looking good thus far. Keep at it and keep all your options open...one thing I learned with aviation is you think you know where you want to go and something completely out of left field pops up!
