Default Posting 12-01 final results

Very interesting results. I haven't broken down all the numbers but surprisingly the practice bids were very close to the final outcome which is pretty unusual.

HKG Captain went more senior than I imagined, especially with all the turmoil going on about the HKHA. Lots of unfilled FDA right seats in EUR and HKG...shocker I know.

Let the grumbling begin!

Looking at the results, it appears that 727 FO, MD11 Mem FO, and 777 Mem FO all were unfilled. 50, 12ish and 19ish vacancies respectively. HKG and CGN were also unfilled as usual.

If one uses last year's bid and subsequent newhire placement as a guide, we could see newhires in all the above FO seats. I am not sure management will know what to think about newhires in the 777. Strange times indeed.

Doubt we ever see newhires to the backseat again.

Interesting

Is anyone else's bid wrong? I changed my standing bid yesterday and it awarded me my previous bid. And I did make sure it is correct in the system.

Seriously?! Maybe that is why the final results mirrored Practice Bid #3 so closely. Then again I changed my standing bid at the last minute and it turned out correctly.

This should get interesting.....

Add Mem 757 FO to that list too. Can we stop worrying about 4a2b now.

They will be shocked that not everyone wants to sit in the right seat of the Queen of the Fleet.

But if new hires can "handle" the MD-11 the 777 shouldn't be an issue.
