I thought it was pot-stirring and hurt unity to ask questions about the reputation of the 777?

MG, I agree, which is why I asked the question in the first place. The insinuation was that if you were a "tool" you were more likely to be hired into the right seat of the 777.
I only asked that the person/s that posted that offer up why they think like they do.

Here is what that "person/s" thinks. The 777 has been aka the Toolbox for a long time now here on property, almost from the beginning. It's been no secret. I initially heard the term from 777 guys themselves. We lost many of our "colorful" tools from the MD11 to the 777, and I hear from my many Airbus buds that they lost many of their tools as well.
My comment is more a jab at the Toolbox, and not the new hires. It was a joke. I joke with many of my 777 buds about being in the Toolbox, they laugh, they get it. Maybe you don't get it. Sorry to touch a nerve. Are you on the 777.
I hear that one of the biggest tools formerly of the MD11 and now of the 777 may have actually turned himself in recently for having an issue with kleptomania - lets just say that I know first hand that the passport that he may have handed over when he may have turned himself in (if true) is not the first he has been suspected of stealing.
I'm sure there are others that went to the 777 from other aircraft that made the pilots of their previous aircrafts sigh with relief (those cool 777 lanyards in lieu of ALPA lanyards, bidding it without a negotiated pay scale, lots of over 60 guys right after the regulatory age change, etc didn't do much to quash that perception). And I have no doubt that there are those that have stood up and filled the void that those guys left went they went to the 777. Heck, for all I know, I could be one of the new tools on the MD11, which is why I keep giving away the odd landing each trip and buying my FOs beers - so they don't out me.

Oddly enough it was some of our former union "leadership" that bid the T7 w/o the negotiated pay rate. I agree with the earlier statements, there are tools everywhere! Many of which have bid off the T7 now....or at least one that I know of One might argue, the folks bidding into an FDA right now could be the biggest tools of all...or at least not the sharpest tool in the drawer....(saying messed up on purpose...my humor is warped, but the voices in my head laugh)
my quote box thingy did not work....guess that is what happens when you only have 10 posts...

I know, I know, I'm sure this is a truly authentic mental affliction, and I SHOULD be sympathetic and hope this individual gets the help he needs.....................but I'm not. Guess I can add that to the list of things for which I need to repent.
