MG2, a little sensitive? I'm sincerely interested in why an FO who bids this or gets hired into this seat is suddenly a "tool", or has a better chance to get the seat if he/she is a "tool".
Stirring the pot? Nope. I think it's absurd that because of a few, a whole segment of our 'group' is referred to negatively...at least that's the way it seems.
And I counter your mad face with this:

And on reserve for a very, very long time!
Maybe not. This last bid might be an indication that there aren't people climbing over each other to sit in that tin can for 15 hrs for the same pay as going to BNA. The FO's I know in it right now aren't to thrilled with the trips.

Different flying for different folks, I think the trips are great. Downside is not much opportunity for schedule manipulation with open time, and you can't pick up a quick 6 credit trip for makeup.

Conventional thoughts about the 777 from my northern tier crew base was the perception that a large number of less-than-desirable-to-fly-with crew members (aka "Tools") congregated on the 777. Thus the heavy concentration of "tools" in one place (aka "Tool Box").

Perception sometimes is reality.

The reason people talk bad about 777 pilots is that a few of them are pretty good targets.

Ask me how I know this.

I'd bet the same way a lot of the other senior 777 F/O's know it.
