Wait...You mean that the 68% that voted for the FDA-LOA included "passenger ALPA guys"?

You're so jaded. Now why would you even begin to think that passenger pilots would be treated any differently than cargo pilots

I once worked at an ALPA (people carrier) airline that had their equivalent of an FDA. Contract benefits included American Private School for your kids (we sort of got this eventually), the "Space - A" shipment of up to 2 vehicles (we're a cargo airline for "gosh" sakes!), a Foreign Station Allowance (very HA like) and other benefits.

It short ... it was SUCH a good deal that many SENIOR people went there and stayed there forever (there we 727 s/o's that were senior to some of the 727 Capt's stateside!

I made some of these suggestions to my union block reps and NC members. Surprisingly, they didn't really want my input!*?

Yeah but their flying was already memorialized.

answer: unknown given the magnitude of the crisis - but very unlikely that ANY would pull their standing bid knowing they'd have a wad of cash to pay back (IMHO) - discuss
"You reap what you sow" applies to everyone.

(Never bid something for "passover pay" that you aren't willing to fly. One never knows when the music will stop, and you will have to sit in the chair you've chosen.)

Don't even think you have to worry about the POP folks. Cursory look at last practice bid shows very few guys bidding HKG CA that are on that POP list-most are brand new guys that actually want the move and job

Interesting......

curious - is there a "POP list" posted somewhere, or did you keep copies of previous bids for reference?

I'm not on that list, but a couple guys I know are (they are senior enough to hold WB in MEM now though, so n/a for them)

Final bids rarely look like the practice. I'll bet there are a couple of POP guys forced to go; but they have already received about $75 an hour "bonus" for the last 3 years. Take a crash pad move and continue to receive the $75 an hour bonus and you are still way ahead for the couple of years required to meet your obligation.

Bottomline it was a good bet.

Yeah, first time I have gotten it to work also, after many attempts with different links. Good video. Seems to me, Fedex is going to have a lot of 'splaining to do when this is all said and done. I just have a feeling that it's not all cut and dried, as JB is stating in his letter.
