The Weekly World News alien tells me the retiree is an AK resident who may regret his decision when the human rights commission files its accusation on behalf of 1, 3 & 4.

Then there's another married pilot from another state who's still working, sans HA, whose grievance etc. is still unresolved.

I agree that I don't want to see anyone in that group hold a job in the union again.....
I do blame those self serving politicians. They negotiated everything THEY wanted to enjoy. They held information back and thought we were too stupid to notice the shell game. Some of us were and a few hold outs still are.

Agree with the last comment.

Concur particularly since a lot of the complaints we have now were voiced before the vote and dismissed.

I believe after his hearing, he resigned.

New HKG Domicile theme song?

Roblox Music Video - Somebody's Watching Me - YouTube

(Note: Strange acoustics in the small, boxy HKG apartments )

Just going over this thread. Sorry for my delayed response.

I couldn't agree more with the above comment. While I support the FDX pilot's choice of ALPA for a number of non-emotional reasons, I feel that the quality of our leadership is tied to the people that run for office and the one's we elect. Over the history of our union here at FDX we have had superb individuals and lesser quality leaders in elected and volunteer positions. Our union, whether independent or national, is what we make of it. To assume otherwise is saying that people don't make a difference, only the institution.

An associated problem, in all honesty, is that we can only elect those that are interested in running. A lot of us, yours truly included (unfortunately) are fast to complain about the elected folks or the nominated ones, but are reluctant to put our hat into the ring for the jobs.

That's what happens in a democracy. You can see it from the top down, in all walks of government. Good folks step forward, with good intentions, only to be vilified, and for what? No amount of money would entice me to expose myself to the constant criticism that our leaders have to deal with each and every day. That's why I'm thankful that others can and will step forward, and it's why I try to not bad mouth them. With the exception of "W".
