Exactly right. There was a reason the "scab book" was printed, to always know and to hold those accountable for their disgusting actions. Anyone denying a jumpseater, unless for true safety reasons, is a scab! Anyone approving of someone doing this and not getting it, is just as bad. Disgusting how people can act so selfishly and even more so, when others support their actions. Get a clue losers.

Except they're not.

And it was a list, not a book. You had to cross a picket line to get on it. Thanks for playing.

Scab is a specific word with a definite strong meaning that should not be diluted with other references, otherwise it becomes like the b- word instead of the c- word.

Oh, it's a book all right. With a yellow cover. And it fits in your shirt pocket for easy access. Still have mine that was given to me when I was at my previous employer.

Well I've got a calendar like that with lots of useful information, but I wouldn't call it a book.

Huck,

You are a genius. Thanks for letting me know that if someone didn't cross a picket line, they weren't a scab. I had no idea!!! Oh I forgot that all those previous scabs were put in a book. I guess those names are not on a list, and they just happen to be put in book format somehow without the list first. Look young grasshopper, before a scab list was ever put together, there was a list of names. Ask a UAL or CAL old-timer. CAL has a list with pictures on it, and there isn't a book. With your ridiculous reply, you must be one of the supporters of this a-hole 777 CAP. Probably him! Which makes you just as bad as a scab, condoning his scab-like behavior. Huck, you are pitiful.

Which is why I don't really post on here....I don't like being associated with guys like this (See above).

Capt's Discretion is Capt's Discretion. It's not Capt's Discretion if his answer is "Yes" and "he's a scab" if the answer is "no".

Some guys play well with others some don't.

I don't know of any scabs that are not A-holes.

However, I know plenty of A-holes that are not scabs.

And, that list just never stops growing.

You don't know a thing about him. I've been an ALPA member for 26 years and I've never seen a "book" only a "list". Similar to a seniority list but not in book form. That doesn't mean somebdy didn't print one up. Also, he's exactly right. Denying the J/S has nothing to do with being a scab. It's not "scab-like". It's actually something that we fought pretty hard for here (control of the J/S). While, I personally would never deny the J/S to any fellow pilot it's the Capt's. seat to control. Perhaps one of his friends could quietly talk to him about it over beers.

BTW-You're not very civil. Are you a FedEx pilot? Huck has a lot of Air line pilot DNA in him. He knows what's what. He's supporting Capt's. Authority. Whether he agrees with the decision or not. Something we should all do.

Best Regards,
Clutch

OK, i'll bite on this one at my own peril.. having flown alot more 13+ legs than i want to in my 2+ years in the tool box, let me say that nothing is big enough after 10 hours on an aluminum tube. BUT.. i commute and know the challenges. I think 2 jumpseaters with 4 crew on a 777 is max for a 12+ hour flight. There is not enough luggage space, catering is a major problem. 4 jumpseaters and 4 crew is like being back in the j/o bunkroom on the Kennedy.. sorry but as has been said most times there is no one on the j/s.. just pick an alternate day if there is more than 2 j/s booked..
