DLAX

Does any of this really surprise you?

What is surprising is that we went nearly 48 hours after open time with "only" 10 out of 36 possible seats filled on those trips.

How long are we going to allow the weakest among us to determine what an acceptable pairing is?

I support the SIG 100%, but the DP process is fotally tucked and needs to be fixed.

Surprise? No

...continue to disappoint? Yes

And until our DP process is changed/fixed, I recommend steady: Education, Communication and Transparency.

Is there something else the vast majority of us, which understand why we should support our SIG in their quest for safety, can do?

Out of the 470+ pilots listed in the 727 bidback, I'm encouraged to see that almost 99% are putting Safety & QOL ahead of the "extra" 2+26 hrs this DP pays out (... vs a more normal 6 hr Mem hub turn or AM/PM O&B trip).

I'm also highly encouraged that a very wide/diverse demographic chooses not to pick up these DPs...

...and still hopeful, the very small demographic which does may ultimately see the "big picture" and change their ways.

Education, Communication and Transparency.

Unfortunately, Guiseppe (the former bridge builder) only needed the one partner to complete his transition to his new trade. Didn't matter that 99% of the other bridge builders chose otherwise.

Both the captain and s/o got hub turned from the first one of the month directly into the second one, both on reserve.

OUCH.

Unhappy

Looks like some "young guns" are not getting the word about DPs.

(Note: Employee #s can be deceiving)

I'd hope we are not breeding a new generation of DP flyers....and calendar blockers, but we could be.

Looks like they fixed this pairing when they sent it to the 75 for July. It is either done as DH to BFM, A MEM out & back, or a long BFM layover.

Roger ...but it was "Fixed" in the 727 too, but then resurfaced in June in its' current format.

I think that is because the 75 took the afternoon flight to BFM away but not the a.m. launch. In July the 75 is doing both launches to BFM so now they can pair up QRO with the 75.
