Fdx: HKG fun fact...
For anyone contemplating the HKG domicile on this bid, keep in mind the current situation out there including our union support.
HKG LEC Chairman JB picked up a draft trip the day or the very next day that the 4hostages were oficially fired. If that wasn't bad enough, shortly there after, he sold back vacation!
I understand that this is someones 'alpa given' right, but seems to be in very bad form.

He came into the union post in a very difficult time for the Hong Kong group. He is doing his best in attempting to lead this group through this. There will never be anything resembling unity if we keep attacking ourselves and our leaders.

I'll bet the 4 hostages were "disappointed" to see this statement in the 15 May fastread email:
"Offer the amnesty program to the 4 terminated pilots and arbitrate if we need, over the money."
They're not going to accept amnesty. That involves admitting guilt and from what I hear, they don't think they're guilty of anything. Neither do I.
Time to stop looking for the expedient, easy way out. If we're going to support these guys, we need to squash these gestapo tactics that management has chosen to use. That means no BS amnesty program with a gag order, thousands of payback dollars and eternal double secret probation. This should go to court and the company's unacceptable actions laid out for everyone to see. If that's going to happen, our leadership needs to stop talking about amnesty and go offensive.
A Fortune 500 company acting like this is an embarrassment. Just culture my ass.
