Default Don't Call Me Pat!!!!!!!

Pat's still in the FedEx database - although I can't find her in a bidpack. I too heard she was gone on psych medical leave.

I got the "experience" of flying with her twice in the Airbus, needless to say I drafted a letter to Pro Standards shortly after my second flight.............

Never again.

Flight managers are like warts, they are annoying but usually benign. If you just leave them alone they eventually go away.

They could make Santa Claus the chief pilot, it won't change the amount or type of work we do one iota.

I guess what I'm saying is that whoever they choose should be part of the background noise at this job. I can just imagine the backstabbing and gladhanding going on by all the Cubicle Commandos.

Heard a recent rumor that FedEx is developing an Electronic Chief Pilot (ECP). Think Max Headroom but without the sense of humor...

This program like many others at FedEx is behind schedule. They initially wanted to have it ready to replace JL, but now will have to put someone else in the job for a while.

OK, I'm going ot go out on a limb here and say that because you're a Boeing F/O, form your profile, that you haven't been here long. So let me debunk the statement that a "Flight Manager" as you call them, doesn't have any affect on how you do your job. You must not have been here during the DH, RF, and JW days. I wouldn't call them for anything. And if you think you can get all of your problems resolved by calling Dave at ALPA, somebody has been blowing a load of smoke up your arse. Who the CP and his minions are has a very real affect on your day to day lives. Believe it or not. If the company wanted to they could put a bunch of Art Becks in the Central Region office, and when you asked them a question they would ask you if it said you could do it in the contract or not. If not, go away. It's that easy. Not saying that it's a perfect system, but I like it over what UPS has. Atleast the CP's have to eventually go back to the line someday. Atleast most of them...
