You're right, the pay should be higher. The fact is though that this is higher than Evergreen, Southern and Kalitta for first year pay hourly. Sad but true.

And I was just trying to point that out.

You might want to look at first year pay at AA, United and UPS. Everyone hits their new hires hard. Yeah, I know, second year doubles or triples and then it keeps going up. But I wonder how many hire on to National for a career? If you're there for 3 or 4 years before your final job then it's better if your average hourly rate wasn't held down by a low first year rate.

I don't get it. A pilot who flys the million pound NASA 747 told me recently it's the easiest jet he has ever flown.

Well, after 11 Type ratings from 5 different manufacturers my limited experience is that the B747 has only one contender for the best designed, highest handling qualities, ease of hand flying and fun to fly transport plane. And that would be the B727.

IMHO, YMMV.

Your paradigm is whack.
Who taught you to speak English? Good grief.

I don't know about the easiest, but it's a nice flying airplane. One could say it's easy to fly, though not necessarily easy to fly well. There's a difference. It's certainly enjoyable.
