My apologies! You are right and I am wrong. Amendable. Commendable! Amen.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I was assigned a DP (absolutely horrible trip) while in SUB. I know I can decline the trip, but I want to make sure how long I have to do this. Is it within 24 hours of notification or do I have until 4 hours prior to the beginning of the trip. I read the CBA, but I want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. Thanks.

It's whichever of those two occurs first, starting from the time you were notified of the assignment --- verbally or thru VIPS

Acceptance or Rejection of Substitution Assignments
  1. A pilot shall accept or reject a substitution assignment when offered. However, when a pilot learns of a substitution offer through VIPS prior to his initial availability period, he shall have 24 hours, or until 4 hours prior to showtime, whichever is less, to call CRS and reject the trip. Failure to reject the assignment in that time frame constitutes acceptance of the assignment.
Make that call dawg!

Great job 2dogs. You remind me of my 5 year old grandson wiping that big bugger on the underside of the table. (In a good way).\\

Two DP's in open time in the 777 for several days with no takers. Keep it up guys.

That one on the 23rd is amazing. 37 hours of flying in five days. Round the world. It'd take a week to get over that, once you got home.

Scheduling is up to their tricks again. Dp trip 130/09oct sat in open time today with no takers, so they changed it to trip 3119/09oct extra, but is the same exact trip.
