No advice at all. Not being an Attorney I would never proffer legal advice. Just trying to present the facts as I know them. as to how/why we have this in our contract?.....dunno......perhaps one can have anything in a contract until it gets challenged.

. I think it is admirable that you did attend though, generally the attendance at ALPA functions nicht gut. We cant get people to attend their own block meetings let alone a member to attend one who is from a different block.

I responded to a question asked, but I did not attend the LEC22 meeting. In fact, I doubt there was an LEC22 meeting, despite the C&B-L requirement to have one prior to every regular and special meeting of the Local Council. LEC22 consists of three people: Block 2 Rep, Block 5 Rep, and Block 7 Rep. They constitute the Local EXECUTIVE Council. The roughly 1,100 people in those blocks constitute Local Council 22, and that's the group which met yesterday.
I could have also given you the initials of the person who won the balloting, but it's extremely doubtful that anyone would know who JM is. In fact, it's highly doubtful that anybody knows who Jamie M. is. Alas, I could put the last name on here, too, and it's likely that most people in Council 22 don't have a clue who he is. So I didn't see much point is saying, "JM won."
There's that insider information again. There are about 19 people who attended yesterday who know I'm in Block 10 now. As of the day before, I was in Block 5, having been on Council Bypass since I was activated in Hong Kong. I didn't learn that I had been moved until I raised my hand to speak and was informed by JM (the Council 22 Chairman, and Block 2 Rep) that I had been moved to Block 10. This "transparent" bunch is so afraid of hearing a differing opinion that they'll go to every length to try to silence that opinion.
Of course, JM knew I had been moved, but didn't bother to tell me until I raised my hand to speak, then took great delight in making a public scene of it. Petty, and pathetic.
So ... back to my last question to you. Who are you? How did you get this tidbit of information? Are you the MEC Officer in attendance, or did he brief you immediately afterwards? Or did he brief you ahead of time and the two of you have a good chuckle about the latest trick up your sleeve? Or are you the guy who has resigned multiple times from the Negotiating Committee Chairman position? Remember the committment to be transparent and communicate? Go ahead. Be transparent. Communicate. Tell us who you are and what your true motives are. Stand up and be counted.
It's becoming much clearer now why the MEC Officers so vigorously defended the actions of the Safety Committee Chairman airing his feelings on APC. It's an approved tool for advancing a certain agenda.

insider information??? I think most people know that you are a Hong Kong Based pilot???? In fact it was bandied about on these boards very much during your recall process. So I guess i did have inside info, you were a block 5 rep, now you are not, so I was "assuming" you become a member of the actual block you are in (HKG) after you were recalled???
Was not at the meeting, I would loved to have gone but had to move freight.

insider information??? I think most people know that you are a Hong Kong Based pilot???? In fact it was bandied about on these boards very much during your recall process. So I guess i did have inside info, you were a block 5 rep, now you are not, so I was "assuming" you become a member of the actual block you are in (HKG) after you were recalled???

ooooh that stings, if you want real names this is not the place for that. You may have decided to post without anonymity, good on you, but that is not the norm on this media and my identity does not matter in the least bit and your conspiracy theories are getting moldy.
