Well, let me just say I'm one of those "senior captains" (seniority no. less than 100) and I voted to GET RID OF THEM. If those 2 bozos can't work for the benefit of our pilot group then I would gladly have some junior guys who can.

Thanks to all of you who attended and those of you who carried our proxies in. We may have more unity that we thought!

Some have boiled this issue down to senior vs. junior. It never was, for many of us, even though some Block 1 guys imagine it to be so. BC claims age discrimination is in progress. I don't know what they think is going to happen. If the recall is eventually successful, another Block 1 person is voted in. No one is trying to deny Block 1 their representation.

This issue is about their willingness to work with the other MEC reps and the NC in an effective manner. No matter how professional they ran the LEC meeting yesterday they've been unable to get along and feel it's their job to make baseless accusations via message line every 2-4 weeks. I don't like sending our NC into the fight without our full support but that's what we've been doing. You know the company will work that message into dealings.

How anyone can support that dysfunction is beyond me. They really must want us to fail so someone else can swoop in and save us all.

BTW, TH said regardless of how the vote eventually goes he's going to keep on doing what he's been doing.

I imagine if we could read CB's and TH's First grade report cards, they would contain the phrase "...does not play well with others."

.
What fight? We're going to have an agreement through our "discussions" before we even get to Sec 6 openers, aren't we?

That's very funny. Lots of minutia to go over. The 'wording thingee' that got overlooked in contract 2006 has bit us hard over the last 5 years. Ask BC how many times he's contacted grievance about the wording he signed his name to. Would be good to remedy many of those errors. There is so much to fix you can't bite it off all at once.

Unity and support isn't suddenly created overnight when we start section 6.

You really think negotiations without yelling and fists hitting the table can't be tense? I think they're sizing each other up every meeting.

Well everyone, it seems that the political attacks on the committees in order to get to Stratton have once again cost us ALL. As you will read in a few hours, the ANC rep's irresponsible, fratricidal release of confidential executive session material in the form of half-truths has resulted in the destruction of OUR Negotiating Committee.

More later. Be sure to thank Rep Latvala when you see her.

For someone on LOA from their committee, you seem to have early access to the internal on goings within the union.

Makes one go hmmmm.

Not mad at all.

If this happened and it is not official yet, how does someone who has taken a Leave of Absence from his VC of a committee position get this info in the wee hours of the morning and why does he feel the need to post it?

Once it is posted here it is hard to make it go away, unlike on Jetflyer where his post about the same info has been deleted.

Also, Don Ray keeps referring to "half truths" being spewed by SS's political enemies but when engaged about it (on Jetflyer) he changes the subject! Could it be that he doesn't like his own "half truths" being questioned?
