Recall of CA Baker and CA Hauserman - 15 Feb

Hey Don Ray, I guess you are right it's not a perk.... but it should be. It's a thankless job as you know.
How do I get your mass emails? I have a buddy that forwards them to me but I'd like to sign up.

I think CB, TH or TC have a right to express their opinion but they give me pause as they make contradictory statements.
They try to squash the opinions of others as they aggressively push theirs. They can't adequately explain why, in their opinion, the MEC Chair and NC Chair shouldn't have shared their opinion on the attractiveness of the last 3% before the MEC voted on it. Just one of the absurdities from those claiming to want "openness"
Their accusations are generally showing a lack of context and research. When they start to fall by the wayside they just generate new ones. Creating constant drama for what purpose?

I used to look forward to TC's postings here because they were frequently filled with interesting FACTS. You know, stuff like quotes directly from the contract to support his, or someone else's point.
(He was just a member here , not a moderator that I am aware of? He was subsequently asked not to post here as an MEC member, maybe Albie can speak to those details?)

I had absulutely NO idea about the committee structure, how vital it all is, how hard and selflessly those folks all work until I started meeting them. Now, I am sort of ashamed of the way I took it all for granted. Somehow I had my head in the sand and assumed it all "just happened". Gawd, I could not have been more wrong. Hence, my vigorous defense of those men and women.
Regarding TC: I honestly don't know for sure and I may be spreading bad info, but it's pretty much taken as gospel in some very well informed circles that he is a Mod here.
What I DO know is this: Pete Harmon was (still is?) locked out after he posted.
I have also heard that my series of .pdf articles regarding the goings-on inside the MEC were posted here by before I joined last night, but were quickly removed. (APC newbs are not allowed to post attachments, or I would put them up again for you myself)
Deleting posts that don't support one's particular viewpoint (or enlisting a Mod pal to delete them) is the very least of those folks' sins.

I tried and failed to get Dons stuff on here 2 days ago. I wrote the MOD who carved us out a note asking why....have not received a response.. I highly recommend that all go to post 3 above this one and follow the link there to Dons Pubs. I believe they are factually correct and provide great accurate analysis to what went and is going on WRT our MEC.

Let me be clear about something that may be getting lost in translation though:
The MEC reps are volunteers too. As such, the huge majority of them (9 of 13 by my count) are fully appreciative and thoroughly respectful toward the committees.
TC is NOT one of those, to my knowledge, who's attacked the integrity of the committee volunteers for political gain.
Baker and Hauserman have done so publicly and one other has done so privately. Still a fourth is bemoaning the fact that Baker and Hauserman chose such a regrettable path, but seems to opine privately that committee volunteers are to be "Worked and not heard".
To be sure, that's four too many who don't seem to "get it" and look down at the vols in one way or another, but it's important to remember that the entire MEC isn't out in left field on this issue.
MEC reps and officers are like LCA's in my experience; Some get pretty full of themselves in their new positions and the rest retain their humility.
The majority of the MEC reps, to my knowledge, are simply apalled at the actions and opinions of the few. Please keep that in mind and thank them for their selfless services rendered when you see them !

Am I allowed to post an email address here without it being modded off ? We shall see, I suppose. Anyone wishing to be included on my distribution list may also email me here: [email protected] and I will add you.
Its CRITICAL that you understand this though: I have absolutely no desire to twist arms. I have written a series of articles which express my viewpoints, but strongly and repeatedly encourage my readers to check into the facts for themselves rather than taking my word as gospel.
Thanks again,
Don Ray.
