I said it was only guidance; and you Louisiana boys dont have naming right on the gulf till you can beat bama in a game that means something.

I know this is out of place but is there any good way to get from the ramp in ATL over to the airline terminal or just call a cab? I jumpseated on yall for the first time last trip but the captain was very nice and offered me a ride over himself. Thanks again and sorry for the random post and thanks again to the crew that helped me get home last week I appreciate it!

Usually if one of use that live on the south side of Hartzfield will give you a ride over. It's on our way home anyway. If no one is heading in that direction then its a $10.00 cab ride.

In a previous life at a passenger airline (I was a 727 f/o), I once observed an Engineer say (upon blocking in at the gate),

"I don't think this is safe. I'll call scheduling and get you another engineer."

He did ... a few days later he was unemployed

This is how I imagine flights operate at FedEx. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thx FDXLAG. Just wanted to make sure that the capt in the original story was not following procedures. I wouldn't have been OK with it either. Obviously, occassionally we find ourselves in a corner and we have to go through something nasty. I would think that would be rare and only when absolutely necessary...

No worries, AA. It was a much different place then. The "cowboy days" (for lack of a better name) are long gone.

P.S Anyone that went back to AA after being hired here, burned the bridge behind them.
