There are common types with much different than that. The 757 and 767 are more different.

The -10/-11 differences aren't any worse than some other common TRs out there. The 75/76 has wayyy more systems/equipment differences and they fly a little different too.

A340 and A330/A320/A319 are all common. Pilots at some airlines fly both the 340 & 330 just like we fly the -10 & -11 (and one of theirs has 2 more engines than the other).

However, the 757/767 rating is already approved with many national authorities. However, with the ISS cockpit in our '57s?

Expect the '67 to have the same layout. Both airplanes will probabbly have upgraded displays with the '57's eventually losing their center CRT screens to a single, larger panel.

Once again, folks. Everyone coming out of the 757 schoolhouse has a B757; B767 type already. FOs get a B757; B767 SIC type.

The same way a pilot at a firm, AA for example, who only flew the A-300 has an A-300/310 type, even though he's never been in a 310.

If the boys at UPS can fly the 757 and 767, I'm sure the Fedex pilots can as well. Not sure why people are hung up on this...

Starting in Jan, F/O's will get an unrestricted type.

As do the guys at AA, DAL, ContiNited, etc...

It's not a big deal at all. IMO, I like the way the 767 flies better than the 75.

The guts of the 2 are nothing alike. Even down to where the fuel panel is; 757 on the right, 767 on the left. I think there are over 420 some-odd differences. Crazy if you ask me.

Congrats to you Purple guys. You'll love the airplane.
