Louisville offers all of the amenities, excluding professional sports, (and I'm closer to pro-sports than some people that claim to live in a city when they are really in the burbs), as every major city, without the attitude of those who live in the likes of Chicago, or Fresno . Plus, the air is always cleaner and the grass is always greener when I'm not commuting and sleeping in my own bed versus the crashpad.

I think every city has bad drivers...I have lived in a few myself...living in one right now!
I have been through L-ville, and it has a nice countryside. Do you like horses?

Moved the wife and kid up to louisville 16 years ago and haven't left.

The people are nice, housing is affordable, and the public schools are actually pretty good, except for middle school. True, we don't have any professional sports, but college basketball and football are a big deal around here.

The drivers are a bit loony at times, and traffic isn't too bad.

Good shopping, tons of great restaurants for a town this size.

I used to bid reserve by choice and enjoy a very nice QOL. But right now we're a bit short staffed on several fleets and reserve can SUCK. Junior commuters who don't mind being on the road used to go crazy sitting in their crash pad for weeks on end without flying, but that isn't a problem today.

Unless you were on the -8 panel in the last 7 months. I was lucky to fly 1 leg per reserve week. THAT'S when I wished I lived in SDF. Other than that, I like where I'm at. Plus, who knows what's going to happen as ANC grows.
