FDX- 727 Disputed Pairings for December
#11
Since the company is contractually required to use the reserve modeling software and these standby pairings SHOULD be bonafide to use that model, they need to assign reserves to each and every one of the standby's not picked up.

The ANC DP is gone. I thought it might be a new hire....... Not the case.
I guess this guy isn't on 79's OR the SIG's email list, so he didn't get the word. Plus, with the list of DPs in ANC I'm sure it was hard to keep up with them all.
At least it's over Christmas so he's keeping it like luggage (or herpes). I'm sure the reserve Captain he flies with will make sure he starts the new year with plenty of landings.

I think this is more of an opinion...vs a fact.
It would be interesting to get the PSITs take on this question first. Hopefully they are lurking and can address their position on "revised/corrected" DPs in the next set of SIG Notes or a separate communication.
I think that's a valuable discussion/debate the Union leadership should have in public.
Yes, they could --- but I believe if they did that on this pairing, it would change the showtime or return time by more than 4 hours, which would mean scheduling would have to offer you the trip as a RAT.
At that point, anyone who had picked up the "revised/corrected" pairing (...because it was no longer onerous/unsafe when they picked it up) could decline the RAT, effectively dropping the trip back into Open Time.
(Am I correct here??)
I agree 100%!!

There was a DP about 4 years ago in the Bus that was changed to get rid of the day night swap the SIG disputed. Went to 3 night hub turns in a row. SIG told me after a few emails back and forth is it was still disputed. The trip went into the month disputed and record keeping (DP #xxx picked up voluntarily) and scheduling's ability to change it back left it that way.

Was given this trip, actually two of them back to back, while in Substitution today. Did a double decline. This trip is obviously unsafe, thanks to all of you who have refrained from flying it, sorry to those reserve chaps who have had no choice in the matter.

How we been doing on these in Dec?
...hopefully, leaving these for the Reserves to fly.
Clearly, the company doesn't see a problem yet as these trips are disputed in January again.
Let's all work to keep these OUT of the bid packs!
Think strategically --- act tactically!
