FXCAL Crash on iPhone 4

CloudSailor-
Thanks for the testimonial!
As far as the jailbreak, I have not jailbroken a 4s, but I do pay AT&T for the hotspot and it works great on my 4s.
A quick internet search listed several ways to jailbreak iOS 5 on a 4s, so it appears you should be able to do it and then choose whether or not to pay your carrier, just like you were able to do on your Android.

I will be the first to jb as soon as available for the 4s so I can do the hotspot.

BidX will not run on an iPad.
I have heard some guys use remote control to run it at home and view it on an iPad.
Rumor is an iPad version is in the works.
Another rumor: I might publish iPad bidding software.
I cannot provide a timeline for either of those rumors.

Sure-
I think about 50-60% of our pilots have iPhones.
All iPhones can run FxCal (although pretty weak on the 3G).
There are some great Android platforms, but it is a very fragmented system.
I think maybe 15% is the max density of current Android 'iPhone class' systems in our pilots.
Couple that with Android is tweaked by several different manufacturers, and then tweaked by several different carriers, and all the different screen sizes, etc etc etc, making it a more difficult development environment.
Add the fact that the iPad is the premier tablet and certainly the premier aviation tablet, and the iPhone is now available on Sprint and Verizon, I feel the majority of pilots making the jump to an 'iPhone class' PDA will continue to choose the iPhone over an Android.
I do not perceive the market is there to rewrite the program for Android and even come close to breaking even on the effort.
It is definitely far behind the line of other projects I have planned.
If you think I am wrong, get 1000 of our fellow pilots to sign up in advance and I will get to work.

Appreciate the explanation. I choose galaxy2 over iphone mainly for ease of reading on the screen. imho I think android will become more consistent w ice cream sandwhich os, and the proliferation of the prominent samsung/htc/motorola /nexus phones which are similar. From an anecdotal observations I dont think iphone is 50% of fdx pilot smart phones, but totally understand your rational for not undertaking the app on android. Hope that may change w ICS & time.
