FDX - New SCP
#11
There are a lot of worse choices than BM. I have flown with BM and O and I think BM can relate to most FDX pilots way more than O. BM also did a lot of work with FPA to try and get us our first contract. He is probably more pro-pilot, or at least not anti-pilot, than anybody in that position that I can remember.

Dude, drink a beer before you're next post.
That's my favorite FCIF ever. I would have written this way," No matter what any schoolhouse yes man says, No matter what any management upward mobile bureaucrat says, this is my ramp and taxi with all 3 to not hurt MY guys. When gas is more important than my people, then i'll be back on the line."

I am surprised the lawyers even let the fourth paragraph be put in the letter.

Yeah the new SCP will be given special dispensation by VP of flight ops to interpret the contract in favor of the pilots at the expense of the company.
Here is my prediction. No changes. We get what we negotiate and as long as we are willing to give the company whatever they want for 3%, the only thing we get is 3%.

Albie, It's nice to be optimistic and say yeah interviews are good experience but in some instances it's all for show... Like the NFL quota for head coaches. Interviews are required but all in all a waste of time just checking boxes for the lawyers. If I already knew who had the job the tom dick and harrys thru the door are just that..... time filler.... How could Upper management not know who was the best for the future of Fedex.,.. just ask them....

Agreed! BB is one great guy to have running the show up there! Too bad he isn't the SCP (and that isn't a slam on the new guy). It's a shame someone had to get hurt because of a two engine taxi issue. I'm glad that policy is gone up there, not that almost any 11 can taxi out on two engines.
