Which ones?
OBAP for sure. I was told that at a WAI job fair this year.

Yeah, you can get hired at Fedex. They will straighten this process out eventually. Probably.
Shackamundo. Several "highly qualified" candidates I know have not been called yet and are going to SWA interviews as we speak. We are going to lose a bunch of great folks to other airlines like SWA thanks to our process being so FUBAR. Community service.....really?

Hey hold on there Partner...............Who do you think knows more about hiring a good Pilot?

A panel of Pilots with with a stack of recommendations by current line Pilots or some PHd with a Freudian beard who smokes a pipe?

The Obvious answer : It's the PHD of course".............note sarcasm

Maybe our new SCP will fix this mess.

From what I have heard and understood, the current hiring practice has a lot less to do with our former SCP, and almost everything to do with the company's legal department (i.e., insurance and liability). And once the lawyers get involved in hiring, the process can take interesting turns... That said, it will be interesting to see if there are major changes in the hiring process with the new SCP.

Yes...SWA hiring now...JetBlue hiring now.

Just the tip of the iceberg.

We have about another 6-9 months to get this right.

Hiring across the industry will greatly increase in late 2012/early 2013.

Perhaps...but look at who got called to date, folks with hook ups in senior management (not in any way a reduction of risk based on qualifications) and MD-11 current candidates (probabably insurance driven and defendable). Previous SCP was a fall guy in many ways. New SCP will look like a genius since after peak period the folks reviewing the rack and stack from Pilotcredentials.com will soon start looking at perhaps more qualified folks as ranked on the list. Perhaps. Since many of those folks also used Pilotcredentials.com to do their SWA package that might be a few less pilots. Not great moment but this is a flying job so by definition it has to suck to get it since flying beats working.

We will see in the spring how this plays out.
