Default Why you don't want to be a slam-clicker

To all my fellow 'Zoner's getting downgraded, furloughed, or those already on the street:

In the last decade, just about every FO hired @ Evergreen was either using EZ as a 'stepping stone', or was on the street themselves when EZ picked them up. This was you too, I'm sure. For those of you who've been on the street before, this is old hat. To those who haven't, welcome to the club.

The majority of us have moved on to hopefully better places. Remember that junior FO you bought a beer for in Morbach, the guy you invited to your table in Anchorage or @ Millie's for breakfast? Well, because you reached out, you have his phone # from the time you agreed to meet in the lobby in New York to walk over to the Bayhouse. Give that guy a call now. You haven't talked in a while, he knows why you're calling - no need to feel awkward, ok?

Good luck!
- 'EZRider', EZ furlough #2

The following companies are hiring:

Atlas
SkyLease
Us Airways
Avantair
Allegiant Air
XO Jet
Spirit Airlines
California Pacific Airlines
Virgin America
Qatar Airways
Emirates
Ethiad
Gulf Air

Lots of China contracts, though they likely want current a qualified and type specific

EZ Rider has about the best post I have seen in a long time on any of the boards. Do not hesitate to call or e-mail somebody. We have all been there. Yea they know what you want. Don't worry about how long its been or that you don't know them that well. The worst that can happen is that they will give you a gentle brush off. Most places that are hiring right now can afford to be very picky and a word from a current employee goes a long way.

From what I've heard its just EHI and EHA.

Best of luck to those at Airlines... if you're willing to go out of the country and have time on EHI/EHA airframes consider giving Helicopters' recruiter (KR) a call.
