I don't beleive they are shrinking the FQS mafia. There was an IPA pilot (training center instructor) who just went to management within the last week. I thought he was an ok dude, I hope he is miserable for the rest of his career while kissing management a$$ to stay in the mix.

Shaggy -

As you know, the last ANC training center manager ("The Mouse") was not an FQS either. Doesn't look like any change at all to the way business is done in ANC. More spew from afl. Yawn.

There will be an announcement soon. Also, high level meetings are taking place.

Just came from the Bar and Grill, with all the important sh%t going on at the brown stain the Number 1 dude has his panties in a bunch over "rumors" concerning the IPAD? He must work for a different UPS than I did (furloughed) if he thinks the IPA should waste any time or negotiating capitol on this trivial matter.

Kinda disturbing that he would highjack a thread concerning the hiring of additional non union pilots at Bown with the imminent demise of the IPA caused by the evil IPAD. IMHO this goes to show there is a vast difference between what is important to a very senior vs. a junior person.

What does "high level meetings" imply?

It means that they are discussing what they should get back from the pilots so #1 can get a free Ipad.

Buggs, what you and Onstep need to realize is that we will not return prior to the ratification of the new contract, add to that, there is no way we are coming back to work unless everyone gets a free $700 dollar toy.

Brown will use this to their advantage, the pilot group is more concerned about lightening the load in the flight bag than they are about the CONTINUED hiring of managers while people are on the street. Look at how easily everyone is side tracked with the prospect of a new toy.....Never mind they are being replaced and you are unemployed.

No one wants to point at the pink elephant in the room, let alone actually talk about it (or do anything). As much of a critic as I was of BT, at least he TRIED to make noise about this, all I hear is crickets while they assimilate people into the FQS ranks.

And as far as the EB is concerned, FORGET IT. They are in contract/re-election mode, you and I are nothing but a piece of gum on the bottom of a shoe. As soon as you and everyone else that is furloughed comes to grips with that, you'll at least have a fighting chance of freeing yourself from this turd.

Good luck, this is all part of their plan and your worst nightmare.
