Fastbid is broke also.. here's the manual process:
Go to VIPs .. Monthly Bids (first link on left), then Monthly Bidpack (first link at top), then under Other Inquiries in lower half right click on the Download Bidlines File and select Save.. to save the file on your computer.. save it to your bidpacks folder or desktop. Then Open Fastbid .. select Process New Bidpack and open that file.

The third choice from the bottom (above the Other Inquiries section) is a line that says: "Download Bid Lines File (Your base, your plane, your seat.)" If you rightclick this (for us Windows folk) you can download that .asc file to whatever directory your bidding program uses (C:/BidPacks in my case.)

Obviously you missed the FCIF explaining how this was needed to protect our customers and is not pilot harassment. Oh wait, that was e-grid. An upcoming e-mail should explain why there was no way management could pre-release any information on this due to proprietary concerns or national security. And, it is not pilot harassment. It was beta tested with office yes men pilots and they thought is was a great improvement to save bandwidth on our VIPS servers. And, it is not pilot harassment. The IT resources used for this could in no way be better spent.

Thanks Jim, as usual your "work around" worked great (although I still can't download the accepted fares, I frequently can't do that the first 48 hours the bid is open). I will gladly buy you a steak dinner if we ever end up on a layover at the same location.

This is a clear message from management. It did not just happen. It was thought out discussed then acted upon.
The conclusion is THEY want you to use FEDEX COMPUTERS and FEDEX PAPER/ INK/ PRINTERS on FEDEX property.
They do not want you to save the company money. They want you to spend it so print two - three copies of the entire bid back at every ramp and hub every day.
Then leave an extra copies at the hub. Lets all fine one place. Stack them high so any mgmt fool can see the paper mountain.
