Not at NWA. The FE course was geared towards new hires and was carefully set-up to make sure folks had the maximum opportunity to succeed in a (relatively) low stress envrionment.

The ground school was pretty intense. You did have to spend time learning your flows.

But once you made it to the fixed-base, and later on, to the sims, each IP was there to help you make it through the program. OE was a non-event after the first day.

It was, honestly, one of the best training programs I'd ever seen.

That story doesnt pass the sanity check. Reason:

No one has to buy the blouse, parka, leather jacket, any combination thereof etc. (I didn't buy any until years later when the parka finally came out)

How/when/what you spend your 150 on is totally up to you (provided
it's from one of our approved tailors) so I can't imagine anyone would need to call an ACP about it.

One would hope. Have you read O's notes in the latest Safe Skies mag?

You will be amazed, and not in a good way.

Are you referring to the Winter 2011?

No, Spring 2011.

Apparently we did have a new hire call "management" to complain about "having" to buy a "blouse" (jacket). This is according to O's comments in the welcome column of the Safe Skies spring 2011 magazine.

I'm not saying that this has anything to do with the above rumor, I'm just trying to tell skypine27 that the story he thinks doesn't pass the sanity check actually did happen.

Nope. Those mags generally find their way directly into my bathrooms trashcan.

Guess I should have read that one. Can anyone quote the paragraph that will amaze (irritate) me?

I believe he didn't call management but asked "O" about the blouse at the winging dinner, and he was a "pseudo" new hire.

Suffice to say that according to O, management was called by a new hire who was wondering why he had to purchase the uniform blouse (jacket).

It was apparently after O had specifically told new hires they would purchase the uniform blouse (jacket) during his remarks at their winging dinner.

Find the magazine and read it for yourself. It is very enlightening in several ways.

Obviously our SCP needs to find another venue to dispense these directives and info to the crew force, as nobody seems to read the safe skies mag.

If I were VF solutions I would double the price on Blouses I suspect a run, they will go from selling three per year to three hundred.
