Doesn't mean the minority is the right thing either. It is just YOUR opinion. The MAJORITY of pilots' opinion is that Age 60 should stay.

I agree that ALPA will not be able to prevent the law from changing. Congress will do what it does and the FAA will either fight it or not.

There should be no doubt, however, that our elected leadership should be defending the will of the members 110% on this new committee and in front of Congress and to the FAA.

In that there should be no question.

Fox: How would you have felt if after 8+ years of furlough it was then extended another 5 years just as the industry was starting to turn around just so the draft flying greedy Captains could suck the teat for another 5 while you cooled your heals? Do you think the guys on furlough right now think that changing the rule is the "right" thing to do?

Plenty of people have to retire at certain ages, it is just a fact of life. Go get a corporate job if you want to continue to fly past 60. Nobody is preventing you from continuing to fly for a living.

You need to get off your high horse holier than thou soapbox and at least be man enough to admit that it is just about you and money, fck everybody else.

You've had your chance at the trough, get out of the way and let some other folks in to share the wealth.

Your opinion of what is "right" makes me sick. And again, that is just YOUR opinion of what is right, not the MAJORITY'S.

Smile The Clocks Ticking....

In case anybody wonders, a certain ALPC poster with the screen name FH will have a big, red NOQ on his calendar after a certain date. Can't remember if it is October or November.

Will the rule change in time? Stay tuned...

Congress makes the laws, the FAA says "YES SIR"

Would you be willing to admit keeping age 60 is about you and your entitlement to a certain seat, airplane and more money? Of course you won't because of "your high horse holier than thou" opinion of what is yours. It's not your seat until you are sitting in it, there were no guarantees when you showed up on day one.

If "safety" has nothing to do with keeping the current Age 60 retirement explain why the proposed change will require one of the two front seat pilots to be < 60?

All politics and discrimination my arse.............

I can't imagine many people would really want to go back to most of the passenger carriers with the state of the industry.

You know very little about the corporate world if you think those jobs are easy to come by, and if you throw in over age 50 with an airline background near impossible.

I thought that was your position, especially being employed by FedEx.

Why don't you just quit to free up a spot for some poolie?

I also get sick hearing positions that indicate they think one notch lower than a SCAB, but you must be aware of that since you want yours out of a trough.
