Age 60 and the B-Fund

"They never bid, or had to bid the S/O position. When they turned age 60 they were forced there. If the rule changes they will be back in training ASAP."
What George really means is that they "chose" to stay on as a S/O. No one was "forced" to go there. As far as "back in training ASAP" goes, he is once again allowing his hopes to sound like facts. There should be a union vote as Age 60 is in our contract now, then there will be negotiations about if and when they come back with the company. The only definite here is guys like George will threaten to sue ALPA and call us all Scabs if we vote to keep Age 60 in our contract because he doesn't have a life outside of FedEx. Bottom line is the whole issue is dead for this Congress, and most likely the next, so none of this matters. Start learning to tie flies George, your "flying" days are numbered. It's a shame your will be remembered more for your "crying" days than your "flying" days.

George, George, George! (FoxHunter)
George (oooops, I mean FoxHunter),
If you had planned properly, you wouldn't need to fly past 60. Assuming you did plan properly, why not hang it up and do the rest of us a favor. If they raise the retirement age then you threaten my seniority. If they leave the retirement age at 60 then I have to worry about having you as my engineer one day. I'm not sure which is worse?
I plan and hope to retire at age 60 despite my experience at "a once great airline." I'm also one of those guys that won't max out my FedEx A fund 50% benefit. That's OK with with me. I'd appreciate if you don't mess with my retirement plans ...
Maybe you could volunteer at a local aviation college and enlighten all those young minds if you don't have any hobbies that might keep you busy in retirement?
Keep the blue side up ...
Regards,
Mark
