Three ex-ACC pilots have been hired by FDX this year. Two of them got jet time between ACC and FDX.

So I interviewed with ACC and they seemed really nice. Very laid back and everyone was extrememly friendly. Interview went similar to how you said it would, a few things have been changed. They seemed legit/solid. Waiting to hear back now...
I'm sure they were, as I said they don't sugarcoat the job too much but then again those who interviewed you probably don't fly the line all that much. If I were you I'd ask some current pilots some of the in's and out's of the job. Might be a sign if HR is unwilling to give the contact numbers to do that.

I gave you my take on it as someone who like SD3272 has the tshirt (a few of them and some sweatshirts too!)

Good luck in your decision, if you choose Part 135 remember to heed the advice about keeping your nose clean and spirits up, it's a very thankless segment of aviation.

Yeah, they were definately pretty straight forward about the job. I greatly appreciate your help and advice!

They were hiring 4 full-time and 2 part-time. Honestly, I don't know. I saw them post on either willflyforfood or findapilot, can't remember which, and applied. I got a call about a week later for a phone interview. 2 days after that got another call with an invite up for an in-person interview. I know they stated that they had just over 170 applications, but only called about 1/3 back and only invited 15 up for the actual interviews. I don't know anyone in the company, so my guess is as good as yours!

I appreciate that bit of information. I know a lot has been said about the job, but I'd rather fly that big nasty cargo plane then work for a regional airline (I have interviews next month). Are you going to interview?

I interviewed with Eagle and Piedmont months ago, but my driving record isn't the best...then Mesaba gave me the job, but I've been in a pilot pool since May.

I already interviewed, 2 weeks ago. It went really well. 50 question part 91 and 121 instrument test, similar to instrument & atp written. Then a 4 person panel interview, followed by a SD3-60 sim ride.
