FX.....Block 5 rep a HKG Capt
My F/O asked me a question the other day and I don't know the answer, but I'll bet somebody here does. The question was , "how can TC, the block 5 rep, be based in Hong Kong and still be a Memphis block rep"? I suspect the answer is he gets to finish his term and the union buys him tickets to attend required union activities in Memphis....but I'm not sure. Anybody know? Can he run for re-election?

When a rep moves out of a block they don't don't have to resign. They are allowed to finish out their term. But they can resign if they feel so inclined.
DR did the same as the Block 8 rep.
Is is right? you be the judge.

I tried to call TC (I am in Block 5) more than a week ago about a problem I had. I left a message on his cell phone.
When I leave a message for my block rep, I expect an answer in a timely manner and I have not had one yet. I am not sure if he even got my message. Does he check his voice mail? If so, how often? Does he return messages? Obviously not in a timely manner.
TC cannot and has not adequately represented me from Hong Kong.
He should resign immediately.
If he does not choose to resign, he should be replaced.
You asked, I answered.
TC, do the right thing. Resign now.

Well.........if all you guys in block 5 feel the same, simply initiate a recall.......it requires some milestones , but if all 'yall are unhappy w/the representation then a recall should be a snap.....

I am domiciled in MEM.
My rep is supposed to represent the interests of those domiciled in MEM.
He has moved to the HKG domicile.
Because he is no longer available to represent his block in MEM, he should resign.
Now HKG has two reps, for how many people?
I called him about an issue I thought was serious enough to call to his attention. He has not responded in any manner.
I do not feel he is geographically able to adequately represent the members of MEM domicile, Block 5.
I think he should resign.
Why won't he?
How hard is this for a rational person to understand?

Somehow he did not tell people that during his campaign. If guys are OK with this then why not destroy thee whole block system and just elect 12 people? How about 12 guys flying in an FDA? or 12 IP's ? Right now, like it or not, HKG pilots have 2 direct votes on the Master Council.
