I haven't done the lasik because I don/t think the Psi changes day in and day do any good. They suggest 6 months no flying to allow the eyes to stabilize.
Also my myopic condition was no change from 19 to about 40, but both the astigmatism worsens and nearsightness change annually now- except now I am OK for reading close-up.

Had "Wave Front" Lasik done 2 years ago. Best money I ever spent, (except for the $150 I spent to have my 3 automatic garage door openers installed. That was a good deal) I have no problems with halos or any other side effect. PM me with your phone number if you would like to hear more about my experience.

I had the Lasik done 5 1/2 years ago. I went from 20/600 to 20/15. It remains the same. My doctor told me if I were to ever need reading glasses, this would remain the same. So far I have not.
Dr. Greene in Wichita Kansas did it. Best procedure I've ever done.

I had lasik done about 8 years ago. Went from 20/300 to 20/15 in both eyes and had slight halo (not enough to bother) for about 2 months. Lasik won't stop you from needing reading glasses in later life...it just puts you in the same situation as those with natural 20/20 vision as ageing takes place.
No regrets.

Lasik etc.
I was able to go without specs of any sort until 48. Got reading glasses when I turned 49, found my distance vision was beginning to worsen, (could still pass 20/20, but it wasn't as good it had been ) and now wear bifocals. I tried contacts for a while, but not in the airplane. To dry. Tried bifocal contacts, couldn't wear them after dark, so no good for flying the jet. I've considered lasik and the others, even know a few people who have had it done with decent results, but decided even the small risk wasn't worth it while I'm still flying. Once you've had a proceedure done, there is no going back.
