FedEx TA Voting Poll

There's another possibility
Ahem ... how about guys on PROBATION who can't vote? Plenty of new S/Os and Purple Nuggets onboard lately.

You can only vote on this poll once. You can't prevent a non-FedEx pilot that's a forum member from voting. I had hoped that only FedEx pilots would participate, but you know how that goes.
Unscientifically, so far, we got about 94% voting Yes. That's about where the % has been since the poll started. Your mileage may vary, some settling may occur, ...

Not to argue, because your experiences may be different, but during the last 4 months I don't think that there was very much LEFT seat Capt DFT out there. If there was all this extra flying avail for the left seat, why do I still only have 46 hrs as a bottom feeder RSV guy since I checked out 4 months ago? Must be all those RSV assignments I refused. Just something to think about.

An if you could, put my chicken in the oven
Your right, I hadn't thought of that. That's why we have two (sometimes three )on the flight deck, Capt'n can't think of every thing. Now how about going back and getting me a cup of coffee??
PS have deleated your smilie faces so I could use them!

A view from ANC
After first glance at the TA, I was really pi###d, and would have voted NO. Looking at it rationally, Bob and the boys' got us most everything that we asked for in our openers. The only thing that we did wrong was to set our "bar" too low.
I voted YES. We'll get them the next time.
P.S. Since 1998, the company has had to "do it without me" on my days off and I've never protected carry-over, and I don't plan to start now.

What do you mean by " support of the Captains"????
I'm guessing you think too many FDX Capt's were drafting throughout the negotiations, and that if more of them had followed the lead of their F/Os (ie less drafting) the TA would have come sooner with better benefits for the members????
Am I close??

Your are dead on.
This is actually the second contract the F/Os got for this pilot group. When the FPA captains got their fist deal together FedEx got 900 training record request from the junior guys (mine was one) about to abandon ship and look for some retirement.
Then we got the deal we are under now (I voted NO then) and without the Captains this time we fall short of what we should have gotten. Guys put on the fourth strip and become independant operators/wh***s. Not all but enough to keep the left seats flying.
Thanks again to the F/O's that got us our second contract.
And to the "oh my high five", "kids in college", "I need it", "if I don't someone else will" captains out there I hope you guys are gone before we start work on contract #3. The age 60 rule needs to hang in there for 4 more years!

I'm tired of you guys bad mouthing the captains in general. I was an F/O when we got the last contract and was ready to get fired in ANC when we walked. Also, held the line as a S/O when we were ALPA the first time.
Quit being general in your remarks. There are alot of captains that held strong also.
I guess it never occured to you that they might not have been as short in the left seat as they were in the the Gods Of Unionism right seat.
