Yeah, And maybe if some of Freightpuppies neighbors learned how to fly jets they'd be making $150,000 a year!! what a dumb statement. Where I live the schoolteachers and cops make over $100,000 a year easily!

That's great! I'm happy for them! Are you saying that schoolteachers and cops didn't bust their a$$ to get to the position they are in? I bet they probably did. My statement had nothing to do with "flying jets", it had everything to do with working hard and the rewards that come with it. Sounds like you made the dumb statement chief.

Bingo.

People who say this "you should be happy with 150k because other people would be" **** need to read Rich Dad Poor Dad.

Tactlessness and/or rudeness associated with talking about decent salaries is a myth perpetuated by employers who don't want to pay them.

Employers pay just enough so people keep coming back, and not so much that they can afford to leave.

Freightpuppy,

I was backing your statement up!!! I'm on your side!!! I was responding to FineDavefines remark about how your neighbors probably don't make $150,000 a year and somehow you should be content or even a little bit guilty about our pay. Remind me never to get on your bad side

If you're like me and expect to get paid on time and to be treated like crap. UPS is perfect !

Keeping the expectations low and never being disappointed !

Point of clarification: For the most part, on an individual basis, UPS treats us fine (my personal experiences). As a unionized pilot group, they treat us like any other union vs management relationship ... only worse than most.
