Ah the Wisdom of Soloman, only in this remake Solomon flips a coin to decide whom to give the baby to, because lets face it, both "mothers" will blow off the Wilson Polling in order to get those vital Section 18 upgrades.
The real question is does JG stay on as rush chariman.

Today, the MEC elected officers for the terms beginning July 1, 2011 and running for two years. The MEC would like to congratulate the following individuals:
MEC Chairman: Captain S S
MEC Vice Chairman: Captain B M
MEC Secretary-Treasurer: Captain S M
MEC Chairman: Captain S S
MEC Vice Chairman: Captain B M
MEC Secretary-Treasurer: Captain S M

I e-mailed the block 11 rep to voice my opinion and got a response that basically said "thanx for the input, but I am voting for who I think is best for you, but I appreciate the input from LEC members." I guess he thinks he knows what is better for us than we do. Sound familiar? By the way, he hinted that he supports JG.

show up for work
so here's my question...
now that we have a group for 2 years.. can they show up at the office instead of "telecommuniting"?
If they want to work from home.. these aren't the jobs for that.
Heard they got approval from the MEC to allow them not to come to Memphis a while back.. allowed them to work from home. Can anyone comment on that?

Also heard our TA still has not been signed by our union because SS is ****ed at National ALPA because he was not elected to the National chairman position. (He needs to invite National ALPA chairman to formally sign the contract for it to be all legal.) Yet these commuters who stomp their feet like little children having a temper tantrum found the time to buy a new car for themselves to use in MEM. With our dues money I suppose goes without saying. Okay, they need a car to use in MEM but shouldn't signing our contract have been their first priority? And if they won't invite National ALPA to execute the formality, isn't the reason pretty childish? I mean come on boys, grow up. And yes, if they're going to draw all that pay protection from us, they better make it a full-time job or move over to let someone else do it. Oh wait, someone just tried that...

I have figured out one thing regarding these MEC officer elections in my 12 yrs here.... it's all about $$$$ and there is lots of it if you're elected to one of the top 3. If you get to National it's even more $$$$ plus recognition. Now you're in position to get a job on K Street in DC and even yet more $$$$ is involved.
