FedEx Reserve

Just curious if this applies at FedEx.
As an example: You're on your last R day before days off, in domicile. You still have one or two hours of reserve to go but there is an early commercial flight home. Will CRS release you, or consider releasing you, if you are way down on the Leveling list?
Will they release you early (30-45 minutes) on any given R day, in the middle of a block of R days?

I have been on Reserve for the last several years. Here's my experience ...
CRS used to consider releasing you early on your last R day (to j/s home, etc.). Recently, the policy (probably wrong word?) seems to have changed. It now appears to be policy NOT to release you early.
I've been hesitant to commercial j/s early for fear that management probably has access to CASS and can likely document that you left early
YMMV,
Mark

So, it sounds like CRS is less willing to release pilots early, but still worth a try every so often...
Thanks.

VERY true, and worth the call. Sometimes, when you get in at say midnight from a reserve assigned trip, and get released for your 10 hrs, some schedulers will release you to your days off, some won't. If they don't, call the next morning and speak with a different scheduler.
This is true.
Also worth noting, NEVER answer the phone between 1200-1330 or midnight-0130. Because they can still hook you with late call out parking, at least from 1200-1230 and 0000-0030 they can, and a show time during your reserve period. Also, never answer the phone from CRS if you are released at all. It's your time, but if they get hold of you, you can be on the hook for something. I suggest that if they do call during your released time, let it go to voicemail and check your calender and then you can decide for yourself if you want what they're trying to sell!

I can't believe how many crew members fail to read or understand THIER contract. The notification period is from 1200 to 1200, your actual duty period is from 0130 to 0130. You are required to answer your phone at noon, not required after midnight (for RB). Read the contract and don't go by what you read here. Contract will stand up in ACP's office. APC treads don't.
Where is the 0130 time for the start of the RA duty period listed in our current (2006) CBA? Try as hard as I can, I can't find it. Instead, this is what I read:
25.M.2. Reserve Periods (RP)
i. Reserve Period A (RP-A) is a 12 hour period of time beginning at the start of the day. [Is this 0000L?]
Later, under 25.M.3.c.i.:
Notification-- A pilot's notification window shall begin: 1:30 hours prior to his RP for an R-1.5
I seem to remember the 0000/0130 combination specified in our prior contract, but I can't find that mix here. Where is this item lurking?
