Default FedEx - ANC move packages

I've got some potential new hires asking about ANC moves. The contract specifically says no new hires get moved there. Then there was the 2006 LOA which seems to include new hires. I don't translate contract very well.

Can someone give a definitive answer? Will the company move a new hire TO ANC? Are there pitfalls and loopholes that anyone with some experience can bring to light? Thanks.

Why don't you pose the question to FDX ALPA -- Contract Enforcement for an answer?

I have.
I was just hoping someone with some firsthand experience might be able to shed some light on any subtleties in the process or possibly pass on answers to the same questions I might ask.

I guess that was a mistake? My bad.

The answer is YES -- they did it in 2006

Sounds like there are now 13 angry dudes (by my count it up to about 78 angry men and 2 or 3 angry women, but whos counting); at least one has an incite ful attitude.

Can't say for sure if new hires get the move under the new contract. My understanding is the ANC move package LOA is still in effect, so they should get it, since I did as a new hire in 2006.

As far as pitfalls, I didn't experience any. The company uses a relocation service and they were great with me. The move was fine without a hitch. Any specific questions feel free to PM me.

+1 ... 2 cars and household goods. I thought it was handled much better than many of my AF moves.
