Does UPS ASA = PBS ?
I've never seen preferential bidding, but looking at the Automated Schedule Adjustments it looks like UPS might be installing the foundation for PBS. Am I wrong about this?

PBS is Preferential Bidding System, and would require a complete rewrite of Section 13.
Not even Apples to Oranges comparison.
And it is bothersome how little some of us know about our 5 year old contract ... just thinking out loud. Myself included !

Not even close. We are just moving trip trading into the 20th century. Every other airline out there have had computerized automatic trip trading for at least 10 years,

Yes, I know how late the ASA is per our contract. But looking at the demo, I got that uncomfortable feeling (like creepy organ music in a movie) where, you know, like the company is doing one thing but they are really doing something else.
I hope that I am wrong. In over 10 years the M*+#erF¥€%ers have not once granted a trip trade request.

It's not even close to PBS. This is a good thing. Albeit, about 4 years late. How have you never had a trip trade approved? In the 5 years I've been here I've been granted every one that was contractual/legal. This actually takes the "human factor" out of it. Plus it's nice not waiting until the next day to know the results.
It's sad that we work for a company that has made us so jaded even the good things are looked upon with great suspicion.
