Actually, I had heard that the Bus will eventually get to ALA via DXB, and that eventually there will be a 3-4 plane can swap happening in ALA. Of course, I heard that about 1-2 yrs ago.

Just started class Monday, 23 Oct. Next class will be in on Monday, 30 Oct. KD told us the pool through the June Interview dates will be drained by the end of January. Classes will slow during peak, as will interviews. Post peak, the game is on... lots of interviews and class dates. Looking for about 360 new hires for '07 to include additional MD and 72 new hire F/O's according to numerous management types. Just for grins, the caboose is Line# 4780 until Monday, then we will eclipse 4800.

Cheers

4800......... we need to explode into the vertical on the pilot parking lot. I had to park on the KY/TN line today and show my ID AND passport to get on the crew bus.

I agree! I think we should build a 6-8 level parking deck over the footprint of the o/b, late call out and 1 hr lots. Pay for it with all the crew buses and drivers no longer needed! Fewer late check ins too (naw, probably not, we'd adapt! )

Default Dec class(es??)

Anyone have any info on the number of classes in Dec? What does Lawless's post mean by reduction during peak? Rumors all along have had 1 class in Nov with 2 in Dec. Next class starts on Monday....could someone ask about the Dec class(es)? Thanks

A lot of the sim instructors fly the line in Dec, i.e. "peak." As sims start about 4 to 5 weeks after the first class date, there is only 1 class scheduled for Nov, so most of the instructors can fly during Dec. The two classes in Dec won't get into sims till Jan.

There will also be electrical and waer hook ups! Also, parking in a garage will limit the amount of sunlight and keep the weeds down in your wheel wells and body panel seams!
