My understanding is that the deal would be a very long term contract; details beyond that I'm not comfortable discussing as I have heard specifics of them but not verified them.

Mink...correct on Omega. They also were in the hunt; from what I've been told they were ruled out early. Evergreen was sniffing also, but was apparently ruled out.

It helps to have very deep cash pockets and the structure Atlas has.

Just had a phone interview with HR....said she'd pass along my stuff to the flight crew hiring folks. Any word on how long that takes or was that just a polite way of saying, "You fly a small plane and we're not interested."?

If she told you to take the online test, you are on your way. If not, you will have to recycle your resume and hope to be called in the future.

They keep 'em on file just in case, I guess. Maybe for when you reapply in a year?

If you dont mind, what do you mean by small airplane, what are you currently on? Just wondering, cause my buddy just got hired and he was flying an E145.

I talked to one guy who's biggest plane was an ERJ-145, and another who's largest was a Falcon 2000.

145....3500 PIC in it, no accidents/incidents, clean record, no failures.

Don't really know what I would have said that would not have yielded a online assessment request. I thought the phone conversation went well.

I am not an Atlas guy, but....., from my experience, what you flew has less bearing than maybe, more importantly at least with supplementals, how will you deal with the lifestyle associated with longhaul and long trips. Hiring guys into a widebody is not too much different than many other aircraft.

And I've no problem with the lifestyle....we talked for nearly 20 minutes. Oh well....I'll keep updating.
