I seem to recall that that a FEX written doesn't expire if a pilot is employed continuously at a 121 airline during the time they've held the written. Can anyone confirm that? For example, I took mine back in 2007 and have been at CAL ever since. There's a printed expiration on it of 2009, but I was led to believe it is still valid during employment...
. Nitefrater seems to just cut and paste his exact same answer from earlier threads, cool of him to do. If nothing else, this thread is a good indicator of who on this board has patience, and who is, let's say, still working on being a little more patient.

I took my first FEX written using the ALL-ATP's system, and the second using Sheppard Air Flight Test 4.0 Prep Software ATP, Flight Engineer, Mil Comp - FAA Airline Transport Pilot. Sheppardair is by far simpler as you can study on your own time, for as long as you want. The sheppardair gouge is much better also. Essentially, less work, IMO.
