JJ,
The title of this thread is FDX Narita Crews. Asking guys currently laying over in NRT what the situation is does not in any way mean that one is not thinking of the tragedy and the consequences striking the people of Japan. But, if you feel the need to lob grenades into a discussion, then just use the good manners to at least yell "Fire in the Hole".

Where the the heck did that come from???? Personally, I'd like to hear what's going on with our crews on the ground and what issues they are facing. IMHO, this discussion did not minimize this tragic event whatsoever!!

As the one who started this thread, maybe I should clarify it sounds like to my true intentions. Never doubt the capacity for some on this board to think the worst when guys put up a legitimate discussion.
My intent isn't to minimize the tragedy currently unfolding over there. Millions of our Japanese friends are in the dark, cold, without food, water, radiation floating around, etc. This is a major catastrophe. Let's keep our eye on the ball about what's really important here. Some of us have good friends over in the Narita area whose families may have been affected. My point to the thread was to see what the situation is on the ground all the way around. ie, were our friends at ops, the Hilton, the Noodle Shop, the JetLag, Flyers, etc. affected. As well as what the company is doing with us.
Personally, I'd rather they load up every plane they can with relief supplies and get us in there.

Have you guys been seeing revisions of your NRT layovers? I am heading over there at the end of the week and was curious if there have been many scheduling changes.
God bless all of those affected by this tragedy.

NRT Ops Employees
Straight from one of the NRT Ramp Managers: "...all NRT employees & their families are safe and accounted for."
I was extremely glad to hear that info! I can't even begin to imagine life over there right now... Absolutely horrific.

Just saw a Memphis Channel 5 Newscast stating FedEx has suspended all service in Eastern Japan and possibly other areas of Japan.
My heart goes out to our employees and all the Japanese people affected by this tragedy.
