As is typical LAG, you’ve artfully dodged the question when you don’t have an answer or you know your answer is, well, lagging. You act very much like a politician during an interview in this regard.

Now, to put the point to you again: I want to know the answer- are you are are you NOT willing to make the same sacrifice that is being FORCED upon people not only in the airline industry, but in many industries around the country.

ARE you going to give up YOUR pension? Hmmm? We're waiting...

If not, then, sir, you’ve just lost any and all credibility here. If not, you are just like those governors around the country, taking away benefits and collective bargaining rights, while oh so quietly preserving their own generous salary and pension plans.

Again, have a nice evening....cupcake!

No you did not say that. You've just spent this entire thread praising the merits of right to work legislation and implementation which sole purpose is to disband unions. Perhaps a deficit in reasoning skills causes some to miss the obvious cause and affect relationship.

Sure I am willing to have my A Plan bought out depends on the price of course. Do I think my A Plan will outlive the collapse of the the PBGC and the collapse of Social Security, no. In 2000 if you asked a Delta or United guy if he was willing to have his A Plan bought out what would have been his or her answer? What would his answer have been in 2003? Wouldnt you have liked to have been the last Delta guy to get the 50% buyout? How do I know what FDX will look like in 15 years. I do know there will be less A Plans then there are now, union or not.

You too ... fudgestick!

I have not praised anything. I have simply pointed out that the RTW states have advantages that the NRTW states dont. I think that Government workers are insulated from market forces because their company does not have to turn a profit or compete. When they do compete (like with private schools) they generally get their pretty little behinds kicked. Collective bargaining has a place. Public service has a place. Dont pretend that someone in Public Service needs to collective bargain. If they do they arent in it for the public service. And when government paymasters have to choose between angering the taxpayers or angering their source of, shall we say kickbacks, the taxpayer will lose every time.

"Bought out"

What a CLEVER use of words! Another politician's technique brought to you by FDXLAG! Heh heh!

You something- you ought to try stand-up sometime, you're so funny! NOW, do me a favor and walk up to a United or Delta guy and ask how he feels about the way his A plan was "bought".

Just like the way you REFUSE to accept the same treatment that many teachers and other public employees [thus destroying what little credibility you still had around here~] are being FORCED (not "bought") to accept, you now want to tell all those pilots who had money STOLEN right out of their pockets....that they were in some way shape or form "compensated".

In the end, I guess in your mind, its "All about you". You want everyone else to sacrifice, but you aren't willing to do it yourself. Sure am glad you were never my wing-man!

Have a great evening...donut hole!

Possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I did not cost Delta or United guys their A Plans. But unlike you I am willing to learn from history. While you are content to stick your head up your donut hole and hum Look for the Union Label. Why dont you and I give up our pensions to help the poor unfortunate school teachers in Madison.

The PBGC is going broke, this will make private pensions more expensive. However the biggest threat to private pensions is probably ALPAPAC supported politicos who see untaxed trillions benefitting a small "rich" minority. Want to bet Nancy wont be drooling to redistribute that sometime in the future.

Possibly...you're losing an argument and are grasping at anything you can come up in a vain attempt to not lose face more likely. You've even thrown out the "Nancy" word in a vain attempt at rescue! Pathetic. Not what I've come to expect from you at all.

My head won't fit up my donut hole honey-buns, but I suspect your hole is big enough. How it got that way I won't speculate-

Now; shall we go through my above post line by line, and could you tell me in detail how what I posted above is "Possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard"? I want specifics, and I want references. I'm sure you have them....

::Eddie Murphy laugh:: Heh! Heh heh heh heh!

As to giving my pensions to the folks in Madison- why would I do that? I stand beside teachers; I support their efforts to teach my two kids. I also stand beside their efforts to keep their collective bargaining rights- Something you do not. Yet you want these same rights for yourself- something that I find egregious.

[You go and look that long word up now....].

Apparently, it is all about you, and to you, nobody should have unions. Or at least nobody but you...

Have a wonderful day, sweet cheeks!

PS: Do you remember that scene in the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy and Toto were carried off to the Wicked Witch of the North?

Really...can't you two discuss the politics of our pensions without resorting to 2nd grade name calling. You both have points...just try and make them like adults...

You are both becoming tiresome to read....

Post like grownups....or stop....
