FedEx APP email
#52
I had issues with my SWA yesterday. In the reply, the same guy that answered a FedEx question answered my SWA issue; it was issue with Employment History not showing up correctly on my SWA app. He said they were messing with it today. Perhaps that's why the FedEx stuff got messed up. Hopefully they fixed it and hopefully they will send everyone a email close to the window closing so we can assure everything is right!

Hornet 8. That is incorrect. If you had a Commercial Multi and then upgraded to ATP multi, your license will only show ATP multi. ATP MEL encompasses the Commercial MEL since it's the higher rating. If that wasn't the case you would see, ATP MEL with commercial privileges for Multi Engine.
Additionally, you cannot start a new app without checkin Commercial MEL w/ Instrument. And someone had posted in another thread that they queried Pilot Credentials, and they replied that you must have A Commercial MEL w/Instrument to apply.

All-
I'd recommend going back and making sure you still have all green check marks on both applications. I did two days ago and logged on today and suddenly it is saying my application is incomplete because of breaks in employment, even though I did not change anything for before.

Hornet 8. Same as me before and after. The ATP AMEL Multi supercedes the Commercial AMEL Multi and Instrument, therefore you will never see both on the FAA certificate. So here inlies the problem. If someone asks if you have an instrument rating, you would say yes, but it's not on your license! Well, the ATP includes the instrument rating. Therefore, do you have a commercial multi license? Yes again, because of the same exact reason. How can you hold commercial privileges on a single-engine if in fact you did not have a commercial license. Your license does not say Commercial Rating or LIcense like it did previous to your ATP. i had the same problem in Canada when i was transferring FAA to Canadian ATP. A gentleman working in their FAA-equivalent office was having issues since i didn't show an instrument rating. His Canadian supervisor came over and pointed out in the FAA regs, that an ATP includes the Commercial w/ instrument for like aircraft (multi to multi; single to single). That's why you have a commercial privileges with ASEL, since you did not get signed off ATP ASEL. Notice it doesn't say commercial priveleges, instrument privileges for ASEL, because instrument check off is not aircraft specific (multi vs single). Hope that helps.

No email for me. I had (sort of) the opposite issue that Moondog had - when I last updated my application there were "gaps of employment detected" (so it said on the employment specific page). Now though, that verbage is no longer there, even though I didn't change a thing????
