Default FDX JW Retirement

I thought it was kind of funny reading JWs retirement letter. " I want to leave every crewmember with some great news. On February 25th all of you will move up a number." That just happens to be his 65th birthday. Anybody else see the humor?

Rumor has it that 4a2b hurt him pretty bad so he's retiring to the panel ;-) Heard he was the "lowest" paid guy last year... not! Are the rumors correct?? Inquiring minds want to know, no need for numbers just heard the rumors. Interesting and funny FCIF though. Best of luck.

What he meant to say was that all the other non-members move up one seniority number on the non-member list since he was the most senior non-member. On the master seniority list there were a few dudes above him. Sorry to point out the error. He's actually a really nice guy, but sticking to the facts, he was number one on the non-member list. Did I forget to mention the non-member list?

He also said he flew every seat/every airplane that FedEx has had. But, he left out the DC-8 and 747. Just sayin'.

Judging by these comments, you guys must have really read this POS. Like I said earlier, you've got 20 seconds to grab my attention.

Have you seen a doctor, because to the lay-person, it sounds like you have ADD or Attention Deficit Disorder. Which is probably grounds for removal from flight status and revocation of your medical.

Do you mean you read the entire letter. If so you have too much time on your hands.

Yes, I do have too much time on my hands. And I read the full FCIF because I've known Jerry for over 20 years and have always considered him a good guy. Felt that way about him when he was the Chief Pilot, and throughout my career at FedEx.
