Yes, but aren't the FDAs the only domiciles that include a monthly housing allowance?

Can a pilot relocate to another part of Asia or Europe once in a FDA and still keep his housing FDA allowance?

I think not.

Why???

On average, commuters pick up fewer xtra trips.

It's all about their domicile efficiency.

That will only be 4 months from the time we finish debating and voting on this TA. 4 months!!! Are you telling me that there are not 4 months worth of other items that can not be negotiated, while we wait?

.
There is a TWO year "CBA modification" allowance window to abide by the new rest rules so it could be 2 years and 4 months till you see any change from current rules.

His point is we wont have to live under changes to the current rules for 2 years and 4 months but we will SEE the changes in 4 months. Why not wait four months then we can get a 2% lump sum to go along with a 3% raise. Think of it as 5% even though it is not.

These are the numbers given to me by 2 FedEx pilots; if they are incorrect, please don't kill the messenger. I understand that 19 pilots retired in December 2010, so my numbers do not reflect that.

And remember, that is only when they turn 65. We have guys beyond the age of 65 waiting for another retirement age change.

People have said FDX would open up the CGN FDA / M11 HKG FDA, weather we voted yes or not. In this new improved FDA LOA there is a part where FDX chince's out on the German Taxes, at 4 years and 9 months, we are required to move out of the FDA so they don't have to pay this. I don't think they will open it without this TA/bridge/FDA LOA/with or without you deal...

Most excellent point. I would call that leverage. Would you want to be forced out of CGN at 4 years 9 months, or stay there and pay their taxes, if allowed to?

CGN is a new hub is sitting pretty much empty, they need this TA/FDA. They need crews there. Even Manfred is confused.
